 Without question, eSellerate is the best way to sell your software over the Net. It's easy to set up, easy to use, and the sales start the same day. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the SDK to handle purchases from within your program probably represents a coming standard for shareware registration.

 I've used a number of on-line stores over the years and have seen them the absolute useless design with no features, to the most complex where nothing makes sense and it takes weeks to add a single simple product to sell.
I have to say that eSellerate has become by far my favorite on-line eSeller. I've been using eSellerate now for almost three years and it is the easiest to setup and use that I've seen. eSellerate has so many features to give you that extra edge in selling your software, such as Cross Selling of other products, Coupons to give discounts, Affiliate sales and management, and even making payments directly to your affiliates and others, such as developers who may get a share in the proceeds. Their reports allow you to keep your finger on the pulse of your sales. I've used this to know which ads we've used and promotions are giving us the best return for our time involved. eSellerate even hosts our download files and creates the registration codes for our sales.
I have to honestly say that eSellerate has made our on-line sales a pleasure and increased our profits tremendously with all of the tools they offer.

 We started with eSellerate with our newest software, a new release for Rose City Software in collaboration with Hagel Technologies called TweakMASTER. I was drawn to the technological superiority of the eSellerate system after seeing it demonstrated at the Shareware Industry Conference. I was very impressed with what Steve Kiene had to say and by the services offered, but I was especially impressed by the "can do" attitude which was in stark contrast to what I had come to expect from other online resellers we have worked with. We have more than 20 software titles and are in the process of bringing them all on board with eSellerate.
Working with eSellerate team has been a distinct pleasure for me. They have been very patient and extremely helpful in getting our developers signed up and online with the new system, and have been receptive to changes we have suggested to try to further streamline or enhance the process. Our customers appreciate the clean efficient shopping cart system, and we look forward to working with the Integrated Eseller this year.

It is very straightforward for the end user to pay for a product, resulting in virtually no customer support issues arising from the sale itself.  When I was using the traditional ordering system, I had to check order e-mails all the time and issue serial numbers to customers manually as quickly as I could. After using eSellerate, I no longer have to worry about it since everything is automatically handled by the system. The detailed report e-mails also keep me informed on all the orders. The system is also very easy to manage; I can change everything within the browser. Service is my priority to my customers, and the people at eSellerate have been treating me the same. Whenever I have questions, my representative, John, always answers them promptly.

 Look, I switched to eSellerate after trying using ads (adware), and then Paypal, and then Regsoft. I switched initially because of the price - you had one of the cheapest options, and I really felt (and still do) and eSellerate wants me to succeed, and then we're both happy to share the profits. You offer the most advance features (like coupons, cross-selling, nice affiliating scheme, integrated sellers, good web site and reports, etc). Since joining eSellerate my sales have gone up, I'm "feeling" my business much more, and getting nice feedback. Support have been simply superb (thank you Robert!).
I'm extremely happy with eSellerate, and not even thinking about switching partners right now. I like most the personal thing about eSellerate - I feel like you really care about my business and about me, it's beyond business partnership. And the same goes for support - I've started with Robert, and he helps me every time, and remembers me, and stuff like that.

 Although eSellerate's high level of flexibility occasionally makes for a complicated interface, we've been very happy with eSellerate's functionality and reliability when selling our Take Control electronic books. Our entire publishing model relies on eliminating unnecessary work and reducing friction at every step of the way, and eSellerate has been an integral part of our success. It's particularly calming to know that eSellerate's systems can easily handle the load when we generate a few hundred or thousand orders in a matter of hours - success can be dangerous if your business systems aren't up to the job.

 After reviewing some of the shareware e-commerce solutions available, eSellerate was a clear winner because of its clear and easy to use administration tools and professional reputation. After using them for a year we are still very happy as all orders have been handled promptly and uptime has been 100%. The new split payment feature is a great addition as it allows us to easily compensate freelance developers and designers without getting an accounting headache.

 We have 3 core criteria when choosing software : (1) User friendliness. (2) User Friendliness. (3) User Friendliness.
When the time came for us to release The Ultimate Troubleshooter, we completely forgot about our criteria and went for price only - after all, there is something attractive about retaining as much as possible of the selling price of your own software! So we compared the top 20 software selling partner companies, homed in on the cheapest 4, and eSellerate were not in that list. We pared the 4 down to 2 and signed up with them after reading all the legal stuff. Then we discovered the difficult part! Setting up our shop was so complex and with such un-user friendly documentation, we did not persevere past the first two hours. We had just been reminded in an unforgettable manner of our core criteria: user friendliness.
So we looked again. The first company we tried in this second survey were eSellerate. Well, once in a while there are times when one comes across a solution and knows instantly there won't be anything better. This is what happened with us when we tried eSellerate: the layout of the website, the ability to thoroughly test run anything before you make it LIVE, the quality and promptness of the support at all times of the day and week, the willingness to go that mile further to implement new features, the range of features, and what we should never have lost sight of, the user friendliness throughout the whole process, were overwhelming. Sometimes you know you've made the right decision and that you will never regret it - paying for the quality of eSellerate, rather than get a marginally cheaper service elsewhere, was one of those decisions for us. |
