eSellerate Extends Bundle, Serial Number and Web Service Capability

SKU Bundling
You can use this feature to sell a collection of SKUs as a bundle. All the features of regular SKUs are available, with added flexibility for setting the features on the parent or individual child SKUs.
Bundles provide opportunities to:
Increase sales by providing added value to customers and new offerings that appeal to potential customers
Raise your average sale amount by enticing customers to spend more than they had originally intended
Introduce customers to lesser-known products that they might not purchase individually
Use expanded install base as a means to later offer upgrades of the individual products in the bundle
Bundling is an option for Web Store and Embedded Web Store eSellers only.
Issue as Many Serial Numbers as SKU Quantity
Prior to this update, customers who purchased multiple quantities of a SKU would receive one serial number that applied to all the quantities. We have removed that restriction and extended functionality with two new options for multi-quantity sales. You can use these options to:
Issue as many serial numbers as the SKU quantity purchased
The choice is yours ... provide serial numbers from the e-mail confirmation or for an extended time after the purchase, from eSellerate After-Purchase Services (see sample)
Real-Time Order Detail Lookup
You can use our new Order Lookup Web Service to securely obtain real-time order details. Potential advantages include:
Better-qualified upgrades by validating current status of an order and serial number
Keep your front line informed with access to the latest order statuses
Eliminate the need to maintain your own database
The order lookup is SOAP-based and can be used in any environment that supports web services, such as Cocoa, Java and .NET. You can implement this service to our order database for the current status of an order, in real time. The results will provide complete order information for you to use any way you wish.
Additional Enhancements and Bug Fixes
Standard and Standard Enhanced serial number sets now allow manually generating multiple serial numbers at once.
There are 10 new eSellerate variables that you can use to collect custom data: _Custom.Data10 through _Custom.Data19. The Order Detail page will list these variables when appropriate. You can also access them through the newly updated XML order notice, which is now at version 3.
You can now make any variable (including one of your own) required. The red bullet for required fields will display automatically at runtime for all required variables.
HTML that you enter for a SKU's Order E-mail and Receipt Text will now display in Order Confirmation and Order Fulfillment e-mails. The previous version stripped the HTML.
